Once the material is baled, it can be transported directly to the recycling mill where it is made into a new product. Balers are usually used to recycle paper, plastics, metals, foams and textiles – to name a few. Balers can be low cost, high labor and slow. Balers can be high cost, low labor and fast. Balers can be fed by hand, with a conveyor, with a cart tipper, a skid steer loader or by an air system.

Higher in capital cost, lower in labor cost. Used in higher volume applications or those with more automatic feeding such as conveyors and cart dumpers. They can bale nearly any commodity and can have very large feed openings. They can also have an automatic tie mechanism.
