Trash Compactors from Staley Enterprises
Trash compactors aid in reducing trips to the landfill or to the recycler. There are standard trash compactors and specialized compactors that crush material such as wooden boxes and pallets, before it is pushed into the container. There are about 20 different models of compactors designed to perform different jobs.
Compactors are used to reduce the volume of trash and therefore reduce the overall cost of trash hauling. Most industrial trash will compact at a four to one ratio. The clear feed opening can be as large as is necessary. We can recommend the right compactor for your specific type and size of trash. We can provide specialized trash compactors, including pre-crushers. Pre-crushers are good for pallets, crates and other bulky items. We also sell carts and cart tippers that marry to the compactor and make feeding trash to it an easier, faster job.
Self Contained Compactors
Our self-contained compactors are designed for handling wet waste but are also used for handling dry waste in order to avoid the mess associated when breaking away a stationary compactor. These compactors are designed for hotels, restaurants, cafeterias, hospitals and other sites that generate at least 100 cubic yards of waste per week.
A self contained compactor is designed so that the compactor is attached to the container and the entire machine is hauled to the disposal site. In addition to substantially reducing labor and collection costs, the compactors can also help discourage scavengers, reduce insect and rodent problems, control odor, reduce fire hazards, prevent overflowing dumpsters and much more.
Stationary Compactors
Our stationary compactors are designed to handle dry waste including corrugated boxes, paper, plastic, industrial material, aluminum and more in commercial and industrial settings. Department stores, offices and warehouses that generate at least 100 cubic yards of waste per week are perfect for stationary compactors.
The compactor body is permanently attached to a concrete pad and the container is attached to the body of the compactor. Wastequip stationary compactors accept containers from 17 to 40 cubic yards which fits on most standard hoists. Larger containers are available.
